Introduction

The Suzuki 4 Wheel Drive Club of New South Wales Inc is essentially a four wheel drive, camping and bush touring club. It promotes driver skill, bush craft, physical fitness, mechanical ability and all-round resourcefulness.

Like any other outdoor form of recreation, we promote an appreciation of the environment, and the responsibility for looking after it.
We are always interested in meeting new people with similar interests.
Please feel free to browse the public area of our site

If you like what you see you can join online as a provisional member and attend your first trip.

About the Club

The Club was formed in 1976, not long after the first Suzuki models were introduced into Australia.
Its membership at present averages about 150.
There are independent Suzuki clubs throughout Australia with which our club maintains contact and links to their Club sites from our Members' area.

Membership

The Club is open to anyone who takes an interest in our activities. There are no age limits, and owners of all makes of 4WD are welcome to join.
After a three month provisional period, members may become Full, Family or Corresponding Members.
A Family Membership enjoys all the benefits and has two votes.
A Corresponding Member must live outside the Sydney Metropolitan area and pays a reduced fee to enjoy the web site and magazine, but has no voting rights.

Meetings

Anyone interested in finding out more about the Club, as well as all members, are welcome to attend the monthly Club meetings.
General format is: club business, a video/slides or guest speaker and a light supper.

Club meetings start at 8:00pm, on the second Wednesday of each month and are held at Ermington Community Centre, River Road, Ermington, NSW. http://www.whereis.com/whereis/getMap.do?ref=homeMap

Club Activities

The main activities of the Club are 4WD trips. These vary from one-day, to weekends and even longer. Most trips are within a 4 hour radius of Sydney, while some go further a field. Other activities include social outings, motor show displays, inter-club competitions, recovery and driver training, Zukanas, and other outdoor activities. At present, we have events planned nearly every weekend

Community Service

Our Club participates actively in many community services, including the annual Clean-Up Australia Day and Christmas food hamper deliveries for The Smith Family. We feel it is our responsibility to contribute to the environment and to those less fortunate than us.
We also work closely with the Gandangara Local Aboriginal Land Council in Sydney's southern suburbs.

Club Magazine

Each month, all members receive a copy of the Club's magazine, TrackChat 1. This contains information and updates about events and trips being organised, as well as articles and trip reports from the previous month's activities. Contributions from members are most welcome.
Here are links to some more editions of Trackchat -> TrackChat 2 TrackChat 3

Club Shop

The Club Shop is operated at the monthly meetings and sells to members, at minimum prices, items specially manufactured or obtained for Suzuki vehicles. Discounts on parts and accessories are also arranged. Members can access the Club Shop Online.

Conservation

The Club is a member of the NSW and National 4WD Clubs Association, and is actively involved with the planning of responsible management of the bush.

Hello and thank you for visiting the Suzuki 4WD Club of NSW website.

Have you tried to get registered on the website but run into problems ? Here's some common problems people have run into, and solutions to these:

Problem: You've filled in the required details on the registration page, only to receive the following message once clicking submit:

The confirmation code you entered was incorrect
Sorry, but this e-mail address has been banned.

Solution: Most likely the email address you are using has been banned from use on our website. Nothing against you personally, but this is a measure we've unfortunately had to put in place to cut down on spammers. Possibly you used a free email account like hotmail.com, gmail.com etc. These and other free email account providers have been banned from registering to this website.

So what do you do then ?

Firstly, if you have another email account (preferably a non-free email account), try registering with that account.

Secondly if you must use a free email account that is banned from use, please email the webmaster (webmaster@suzuki4wd.com.au) and we'll see what can be arranged to get you registered.

Problem: You've registered on the website and seen this message after clicking on submit:

Your account has been created. However, this forum requires account activation. An activation key has been sent to the e-mail address you provided. Please check your e-mail for further information

however you've not received the activation email. Until you receive this email, and clicked on the link in the email, your account will remain inactive.

Solution: The most likely cause to this problem is a mistake was made when entering your email account used during registration. Common mistakes people make are:

forgetting to include .au on the end of their email address
or simply typos in the email address

So what do you do then ?

Firstly you could try registering again, however you will have to use an alternate username, as usernames are unique. Before submitting your application, double check that your email address is correct.

Secondly, if you don't want to register a 2nd time, and want to use the username you first registered with, email the webmaster (webmaster@suzuki4wd.com.au) providing the username your registered and the problem you have and we'll see where the problem is.

If you have any other problems with accessing or registering to this website, please email the webmaster for assistance -> webmaster@suzuki4wd.com.au

Currently gmail.com, hotmail.com, yahoo.com and a few others are banned email addresses for the time being due to spam attacks.
